Ottawa Walks, an all-volunteer-led group, is offering year-round neighborhood group walks across Ottawa County. These gatherings are a great way to promote an active lifestyle and meet new people.

The nearest planned walks in your corner of the county are:

Wednesdays

5:30 p.m., Various locations: Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital group walks with a registered dietician. Walks are 1-2 miles and will cover brief health topics. Registration required to obtain schedule — call 616-748-2834.

Thursdays

5:30 p.m., Upper Macatawa Natural Area, 84th Street entrance, Zeeland.

5:30 p.m., Holland Township neighborhood walk: Meet at the corners of 112th Avenue and Riley Street. The loop is approximately 1 mile on paved streets and can be repeated.

6 p.m., Hemlock Crossing County Park, West Olive: One-hour walk will be at a slow to moderate pace. Walkers plan to explore different trails and observe wildlife. Mosquito repellent is recommended.
