Do I need a permit?
Many jobs and projects require building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and/or zoning permits. All new buildings, additions and most remodels require permits. Projects like painting and floor coverings do not require permits.
What codes apply?
Park Township has a zoning ordinance that governs what can be done with a piece of property. The Michigan Building Code 2012 and the Michigan Residential Code 2015 regulates how buildings and structures are constructed.
